Best Scissors/Shears? I'm looking for some new scissors/shears. One straight and one curved. What brands do you use? I heard CC was really good - no noise - but the price is higher than I want to pay. I'd like to keep it under $100 for each. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
Connie, the yorkie grooming video I have, the groomer recommends these Fromm shears. I've had them now for a couple of years and they work great, haven't dulled at all. She recommended if you are only buying one set of shears to get the curved pair, so that is what I did. And, honestly I have never felt like I needed another set. You could probably find them other places, I was ordering quite a few things she recommended from Petedge so went ahead and got my shears then. I have Fromm curved shears with a bull nose. They are the "Ice" series and are very sharp. I use them all the time and prefer them over my straight blade shears. I tried to find them on Petedge but couldn't. I'm not sure if the above link is the same shear that I have. I'll have to keep looking and see if I can find them. As I remember, they were very reasonably priced. |
Kenchi is the best. You can buy them at numerous places including at a dog show. Here's a link: MADShears Hair Styling, Barber, and Grooming Shears and Scissors Good price on on a pair of Jaugart 5.5: MADShears Hair Styling, Barber, and Grooming Shears and Scissors |
