cornstartch for mats? well i was soo close to haveing my daughters yorkiepoo shaved till the wife managed to comb out lots of her bad mats, but thre still some smaller ones close, read somewhere that you can use cornstartch and work the mats with your finger and a comb and they might come out,. anyone do this?:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Yep..... cornstarch works like a charm. Just sprinkle a little cornstarch on the mat, work it through with your fingers, then use a comb to finish working the mat out. Try it, it's not going to hurt to try, and I think you'll be surprised at how it works. You still have to go slow as you comb it through so you don't tug or pull their skin and hurt the dog. |
I used that trick after reading about it here, and it works like a charm. |
