Madan brushes: soft, med, or hard? What is your preference for Madan brushes: soft, medium, or hard? What kind of coat does your little one have? |
i like the soft----maddie has a silky coat:thumbup::thumbup: the dark blue one is the one i use! |
I have a regular soft (baby blue) and a small medium soft. Beamer has a silky coat |
`BUMP` I need to buy a brush for Max and not sure what to get. Anyone else have an opinion? I think Max is going to have a silky coat. |
My pups have all kinds of coats. :p They range from very silky/never tangles to cotton/modified that can really mat up. I LOVE the green Madan brush that I got from Jenny. I'm sorry I don't remember the softness of it, but it works great on the entire range of coats in my house. I definitely recommend the green one. |
Here's the site: toplinepet.com The green is very soft. I can't believe it's this difficult for me to pick a brush! |

I have the orange one, which is soft. I got a hand painted one.. and i thought it was just ADORABLE! |
Soft Madans are the right ones for single coated breeds like Yorkies, Maltese, etc. |
Thanks. I just placed an order. |

the sellers of madan brushes here (in the philippines) i told me that there is no difference between colors for the brushes... |

Ok I am guilty of using my dogs brush for myself!!!! LOL I am going to have to order a couple more! I actually want to have one for a couple rooms in the house because it seems whenever someone if laying around being content, I always think what a great time to brush and then I have to get up and find it! :p |
What is the extra long Grey pinbrush recommended for? I just noticed that one. |

I have a blue and a pink. Max has fine silkier hair and I use the blue on him.. Mia has thick cotton hair and I use the pink on her. There is definately a difference in the brushes. Jenny is AWESOME to buy from!:thumbup: |

I didn't call you an oddball. Just odd. :D:D:D I understand why you like it. |
I've been M.I.A. for some time! I also prefer the firmer brushes. The soft ones have a lot of give & the pins also move, so what you're feeling while you're brushing is the movement of the pins. It's not pulling the hair, but gliding through it & can miss some tangles. It's that soft. I like using it to do a final brush through to really bring out the shine. If your fur baby tolerates brushing, the firmer ones are excellent for brushing out tangles. Mimi becomes a tangled mess whenever she wears a harness, that's everyday bc she loves going for walks lol. I simply spray some CC Ice on Ice (or any good conditioning spray) directly on the tangles & brush her out w/a small Madan brush. It's fantastic. I have new colors available in my site.:) Momo doesn't like brushing, & if I use the small ones, he'll try to attack it. But if I use the softest blue one, he'll just stand there. Like I mentioned earlier, it does glide through tangles, so I have to go in w/a comb & work them out. Sometimes it's best to just cut it if, bc he won't stand long enough for me to work it out lol. He's such a wiggly worm & so sensitive. He's also got the fast growing, thick, cottony, tangles easily hair, so I keep him in a short cut. If anyone needs help picking out a brush or if you have any questions (no purchase necessary! lol), please PM me & I'll be happy to assist you. Thank You everyone for the awesome recommendations & referrals!:D |
