My baby has burrs! My yorkie got into some burrs....what the best way to handle this |
Do you mean the little round thingies with bristles? Beamer gets them in his coat sometimes after being in the yard. I use the wide teeth on the comb and work them out of him, sometimes have to use my fingers. It can take a while though sometimes. Luckily he is good about it. |
Got a few of these after a hike, the easiest way for me was to cut them out. They were near his paws and he doesn't sit still long enough for me to work them out of his paws. And since he is looking scruffy anyway I didn't mind cutting them out. Just work out enough of the fur with your fingers so you aren't cutting huge chunks of hair out and it won't be too noticable. |
I use a flea comb and my fingers. I work out from the skin to the end of the hair. After one exciting day at my sister's country place, I worked 37 burrs out! It took about an hour. |
those can be a pain for sure! after less then 10 mins in the yard my lil reeses had a good 5 of them under his tummy and a few in his paws. he hated them lol, and hated me pulling them out. i don't let him in dead looking grass anymore lol |
I feel your pain. I had to pick them out one by one. Not fun! |
