Both of mine go to the groomer, a lady who does it out of her house. The only time I felt that Buster was drugged was when I took him to a groomer that worked out of my vets office. She groomed him three times and I had no idea that groomers would drug them. He was sort of groggy when I picked him up then would sleep forever when he got home. That's when a friend told that some groomers will drug a dog. The vet no longer offers grooming services. |
I really had NO idea some groomers drug our dogs! I took my Westie for his first puppy cut at 6 months old...a supposed professional shop.....they said not to take him back as he was VISCOUS! I nearly fell to the floor laughing.......at 6 months old!!!!...he's now 7... I obviously took him to another groomer......and he has gone to that same groomer for the last 7 years! I know he thinks he's a Rottie...but he's NEVER bitten anyone in his entire life! I started grooming my KiKi (Yorkie) from the day I got her, spending hours making it into play and relax times...ear plucking and toes touching etc.... and have mastered my own cut...prob being ex-hairdresser has helped a bit...looked on many many utube grooming video's for advice and tips...we get by...hey she's just my sweet little chica......does not have to be so perfect for me. Anyways...her ribbon's don't stop in her hair long..as the others pull them out...the monkeys.:aimeeyork |
