clipper blades don't move I have and Oster Golden A5. I put a new blade on today and they don't move. If I put a little pressure on the blade (where the name and number are) they move. All of the repair places are closed until Monday. Marley needs a hair cut and I hate to take him to the pet stores. This is not my day for grooming. I bought a Wahl trimmer from Petedge. I went to use it and it's defective. The battery doesn't fit all the way in, on one side. So, you can't put the cover back on. |
Try taking the blade off and putting it back on again. I have the same clippers and if you don't get the blade on right, it won't move. |
Don't forget to oil your blades either, new blades are usually ready to go but not always. Remington firearms makes a great product callled Rem Oil. Sporting goods stores and Walmart stock it:) |
Make sure it is snapping in place. If it isn't, then the blade won't move. |
I called the repair place. He had me try my other blades to see if they move. They do move with no problem. I think my new blade needs adjusting. I did oil it before I went to try it the first time. After I saw that my other blades work I did unscrew and tighten the two screws on the bottom. When I talked to him the second time he told me NEVER to touch those screws. A lot of good that does me now. lol I'm going to drop it off tomorrow and see what they say. Thanks for your help!!! |
I hear your dilema - I have 3 pair of (expensive) clippers - oil them every time I used them and they no longer do anything close to what they used to do......I'm feeling like I wasted money since they didn't last very long... gotta find some on sale next time because it's sucks when they don't work |
