Silky coat but dry and dull..... Roxy has a silky coat but it seems so dry and dull. Her blonde is not as shiny as I think it should be and her black is turning gray (I guess thats normal...shes only 1) but it looks dry and not very pretty. What should I do? I want her to have a nice shiny coat. |

I use Minksheen. I am going to be purchasing a leave in conditioner to see if that helps. Another TYer (Brendah) that makes shampoo is sending me a sample of her stuff which I am excited to try. We dont have much to offer as far as pet supplies go her in my town so I bought some Johnsons No More Tangles to use on her when I comb her (shes never tangly but I thought the conditioners in it might help). I have used it for the last two days and she seems to be looking a little better....I dont know if it helps but her topknot is shiner. |
Have you switched her food in the last 2 months? |
Minksheen is a great shampoo but in using this you also should use a good conditioner. As an added plus to a dry coat, try using PetSilk Liquid Silk Serum. Buddy's coat is naturally shinny and I love Minksheen but also alternate with Petsilk shampoo and conditoner and Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditioner. I use the liquid silk during winter months when the air is dry in our house. After each bath I apply it. I have electric heat in the house and it's drying to both our heads:p Also diet plays a role in healthy looking hair. |
Food and vitamins are very important...just like in humans. |
