I too love the MinkSheen product. Of all the other products I've tried it seems that Mink Sheen is the most perfect for our Yorkies. We'll buy a couple of gallons at a time from minksheenshampoo.com. I haven't seen the need to add any conditioner like BonBon mentions, but I guess that's personal preference. I find that the Silkies that come to our shop look great with Mink Sheen too. |

Jen sent me some PEK recently and I am SO impressed! I have used it on 5 of my pups and they all look and smell wonderful! It is a fresh clean scent...I hate overpowering scents on my pups. I believe this is the best conditioner I have ever used on them. One of them has a dry coat...I used it on him 3 days ago and his hair feels and looks wonderful! I am definitely placing an order for it! OH! And..thank you Jen! :) |
Thanks for all the posts, I got lots of good ideas. Carrie & Tucker |
PEK great for BRT beards Black Russians I am late in posting this, but i've used PEK for our blackies beards about 4-5 mths now. I dilute it slightly so it is more of a thick paste. Then I put it on the "nasties" ie heavy mats, which they get under the chin, near their jaws, under the ears etc. I let it sit, then sit some more, if it is bath day, I will take them into bath and wash body, legs, then wet face, beard, and use a special comb, and a special dematter, (which is often not necessary), the mat breaks apart really easily and in the tender areas of face/jar, it is a very good product to use. Jenn this is a heavily coated double breed, so you can imagine the mats these dogs can get, Yorkie mats just do not compare!. So while I bought it for Razz our Yorkie, I use it all the time for the blackies, and have had to use it only once for Razzman. :D |
For my yorkies, I have found that the best way to use PEK, is to make a spritz/spray out of it. I don't use it as a creme rinse anymore because it just gets rinsed out. I shampoo my dogs then towel dry them and spritz it on, the brush or comb just slides right thru. Amazing. Using it as a spritz, it will last a long long time. Don't use too much either. A little dab will do ya. I put about a half to 3/4 teaspoon to a pint of water. Use hot water to dissolve it faster when you make it. Has anyone else tried it this way? |

Great idea |
I do use it as an additive to other conditioners too. It is a great way to use up all those conditioners that we just have to try that work, but not exactly what we were looking for. The PEK added to it works great. I also have put some into a squeeze bottle and added warm water to it and after the bath, I towel dry, shake up the bottle and squeeze some onto the hair.. I rub it in a bit gently with my fingers, then start blowdrying using an Inisis brush and it glides thru the hair and no tangles at all. LOVE my PEK! I imagine it would be easier to spray it on. |

So, I found this thread and am excited to place an order with IV San Bernard, set up a user name and I guess I am waiting for my account to be validated before I can order. It did make me put in a company name. How do they know I am YT member in order to receive wholesale pricing? |
What's the difference between PEK Conditioner and PEK Maracuja? |
