i can't believe what my groomer did!! i took lily may to the groomer last week. i comb lily and do a little maintaince grooming on her. the groomer charges $20, when i picked lily may up she came out and told me how good she was to groom. she only charged me $15 because she was so easy to groom. i work with her so she isn't afraid of grooming, it is easier for the groomer and safer for my furbaby. |
That's great! It makes it easier on everyone when they are use to being groomed. |
I was glad this was not a horror story! My axel was very good last time for only being 5 month old, I was so glad |
That is great to receive a discount because she was so well behaved. I am sure you are a proud mommy. Now you have extra money for fun stuff.;) |
where do you live that a grooming only costs $20? it is more like $45-$60 here on LI. i actually took a grooming course this past semester because with 6 yorkies of my own, plus a foster dog most of the time, it is too expensive! i will tell you, though, after taking this class i can understand why they charge that much - especially when it is a difficult dog. i am just happy that i can now give my pups a nice cut. it may not be perfect but it's just hair - it will always grow back! LOL:D |
Shew...you had me worried there for a sec. Thought you were gonna tell us a BAD grooming story~lol My groomer gives me a discount too...but it's because I made all the curtains for her shop when she opened up :D But she does tell me that Callie Lou is well behaved when I take her in, and I give myself credit for that because like you, I do some grooming myself between her visits. I started when she was a tiny thing with her nails and keeping her ear tips clipped..sanitary cut, bathing, brushing...etc. Then by the time she was ready to go to a real groomer she was used to the sound of clippers and hairdryers and all of that. It really helps. :aimeeyork |
