Hair on feet Last time toby was at groomers she was quite rough. I am trying to grow his coat out so I can probably do most of it myself. Both him and maisie have hair between the pads of their feet - what is the best way to trim this. scissors Or a trimmer? Also the hair around the bum. Also should the hair on the top of the feet be long ie over the nails or should this be trimmed back too |
You can use either - but just be careful |
hair You should use a 40 blade to shave hair inbetween their pads and trim top of feet with scissors. Feet should be rounded....I call that hair on their feet grinch feet....lol...as for their butt end area...shave with 10 blade carfully. hope this helps |

Been looking for the Peanut but we dont seem to be able to get it here in the UK. I asked the trainer of Maisies obedience class (she is also a veterinary nurse, and owns a pet shop) and she said the safest way for an amateur is curved scissors. She says there is too much flesh/skin to use a trimmer when you dont know what you are doing. These are the kind of scissors she had, and showed me how to use them. Standard Curved Scissors-Hyperdrug (Blunt ones) |
