I just received my shampoo and conditioner from Yorkie Shampoo & Shine (Yorkie Splash and Yorkie Shine | Yorkie Shampoo and Yorkie Conditioner) and absolutely LOVE it. Toby's coat is super soft and the shine is amazing. Not to mention he smells really, really good! I highly recommend these products. Go to their website and read more info. I've never seen Toby's coat so shiny and he's had three baths in the month we've had him.

Does anyone else use these?

well i just ordered the combo and i hope i like it. i have so many different shampoos and conditioners for magic it is crazy. just can not find the perfect one. and he had been having a few skin issues so maybe this will be the one. i will let you know if it works out for us.

Thanks for the link. Ive never seen a shampoo designed specifically for yorkies. I plan on getting it and trying it

Thanks, I was guessing it had aloe, and I am alergic to that.

Just placed my order, can't wait to get it and try it!!!!! I love trying new shampoos, my favs though are CC and Petsilk!

I have used this shampoo for a while now on Lexi, looks like she has new labels. I love it, as Lexi seems to have a greasy head...LOL this really helps and she smells so good and it last for quite awhile. I ordered the set to haven't tried the conditioner yet

But what is the ingredient that make the shampoo lather? It can't be anything you listed because those are oils. Anyway, I've been trying to find out the "exact" ingredients.

I have tried so many different shampoos! I just ordered a sample size set of Vellus or maybe I would try this one! I wish they had sample sizes as I have bought full size bottles so many times before and then have not been happy with the product so now I'm a little more cautious.... I'll be waiting to see if others have had good success as well....

Just saw this thread. Here are the ingredients in Yorkie Splash:

Saponified Organic Oils of Coconut, Olive and Jojoba
Fragrance Oil Blend
Organic Aloe Vera
Rosemary Extract


Yes, it is made of mainly organic oils. It has a "watery" type consistency (it is not the consistency of a gel type shampoo).

Since the oils are soaponified, there is a lathering effect, but there is no sustainable lathering (it doesn't foam up much and the bubbles disappear very quickly).

I should also mention that it is a castille soap.

And, the process of soaponification makes the soap from the oils.

Is it soap free? I use K9 Advantix on Max and although it is waterproof, you are supposed to use soap free shampoo. I just bought the sample pack so I hope I can use it on him.

Yes, you can certainly use it with K9 Advantix. I have been doing some reasearch to make sure, but you can definately use it with any flea and tick products and the other products will remain effective (I use frontline).

I think the reason the vet told you "soap free" shampoo is because most soaps are harsh and strip the oils out of the skin, and when doing so also strip out the flea reprellant that is distributed theough the skin oils. Yorkie Splash does not have harsh chemicals and does not stip out the skin's natural oils. Technically it is soap, but it is very mild and pH balanced for the skin of Yorkies (well, dogs in general).

Still, I would wait at least 24 hours after application of a flea / tick repellant before bathing.

Thanks for the info.. I too wish there were samples.. I recognized the name as I was checking on the price of shipping and came back here as I knew this was a member...
I might have to get some of this..wonder if it will ever come in larger bottles.. I have 6 yorkies..some times ordering a larger amount makes it cheaper when you have so many furbutts..

I have only been selling it since May and I hadn't really thought too much about bigger bottles yet. I hope to maybe do a few bigger bottles when I make my next "batch". The place I order the bottles is pretty inexpensive, so, I guess I can try it. :)

Sounds like Dr. Bronner's unscented baby-mild Pure-Castile Soap. (in liquid form) Ingredients: Water, Saponified Organic Coconut & Organic Olive Oils (w/Retained Glyceryin). Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Vitamin E. I buy it in the 32 oz. size and the dilution is 1/2 oz. to to 2 gallons of water. Can be used for a baby's bath, adult bath, dentures, deodorant, shaving, aftershave, silk, wool, pets, diaters, car, hand and foot soap and so on.

I received Yorkie Splash & Shine today, and bathed my both of mine, and I must say that I absolutely love it!! I usually alternate between Petsilk & Minksheen which I also like. However the smell of the Splash and Shine is wonderful not so overwhelming like the others. I would definately recommend this product!

I received the sample last week and have used the shampoo and conditioner twice now.

I'm very impressed with the products. My Azuki's coat is very shiny and amazingly soft! and he smells very good as well.

Hi,

I am new and Hi to all of you. I have a yorkie pup that is 13 weeks old.
I just got my sample set and this weekend bathed my puppy "Gizzy" first off the smell is great. Second he is so soft.
My OH has a Maltese with a cotton coat.. what a pain this coat is as she mats really easy. I use the conditioner and detangler on her. Well the coat is sooooooooooooo soft and no more cotton coat is it laying down nicely.
and what else is good. I saw what it did for these two I used the detangler on my hair :eek:. What a shine and no fly aways. What great stuff. Will be buying again for sure.
