Gee, I'm not good at this at all. I just use soft little scrunchy bands because I am afraid of damaging her hair. I have to put it up every morning though -- is this normal. What size bands do you folks use? |

I buy my bands from Jenny, YT username Mimimomo, at her website toplinepet.com She can advise you what size you need for your pup. |

Floppy topknot/ Russian Yorkie I just wanted to say Russian Yorkie....how amazing the picture of your topknot is!!!! The picture that's all divided. I love it. Is it hard to do? I would love to learn how to do that style. If you or anyone could explain how to accomplish this look I would appreciate it. I have problems with the unicorn look as well........ Vic & Alias |

I have used the small scrunch type bands. After you have put the top know up pull it forward a little bit and from the back pull the back part of the top knot a little tighter. So now you have more pressure on the rear part of the top knot. Hope this helps! |
I just found this thread.....THANKS EVERYONE. Yes. This helps. Thanks for all the 'hints' and ideas. I have been worried about Katy's Top Knot pulling hairs out/damaging hairs too. I have been 'letting it rest', that is taking the Top Knot down and letting it go, a couple days each week. I too have been doing the Top Knot a little different, from time to time, to not have the same hairs (on the outside of the pony tail) swished. I LOVE THE RUSSIAN YORKIES PHOTOS of Top Knot examples! |
