Ears I have a 10 week old Yorkie. I've had her about 2 weeks and when I first got her, both ears were standing up, since then one ear has fallen and she can make it stand up when she is trying to figure out what we are doing, but when she is just relaxing, it lays flat now. She is a baby and is probably teething so it may be normal. I read about taping ears, but I don't know if this is needed or if it will pass on its own. Thanks for any replies. Jamie, mom to Bella. |
This can happen while they are teething, which lasts about six months. Search this topic on YorkieTalk, there are a ton of threads. *I have given a spoonful of cottage cheese daily to help with the calcium loss of teething. *Massage the ears daily, helping the blood circulate *I taped one of my yorkies ears on and off for 4 months...but pleaase make sure you know what your doing...there is a link on YT somewhere, you can ask your vet to do it. Your baby is going to be perfect with or without standing ears! Congrats!!!:aimeeyork |
