Nose Hair 2 Attachment(s) I'm taking my two babies for their 2nd proper groom next week. When we had them groomed the 1st time, the groomer shaved of all the hair on the bridges of their noses, but my problem with this, is once it starts growing, it grows in right in front of their eyes. Basically their hair has now grown out fairly well, and once brushed it falls down nicely, but myself and the wife are debating now, should we let the nose (bridge) hair be shaved of again, or just let it grow nice and lond so we'll never have to worry about their nose hair growing into their eyes. Any suggestions would do. FYI: one of the photo's is with Lola still in her casts after her Luxating Patella Operation, she's fine now and the op was 100% succesfull, but both the sisters needed grooming before the op, which we couldn't do, so their coats in reall need of grooming. Thanx |
The decision is up to you but I am letting all of Niyah's hair grow long including the face hairs. Some have suggested using a good dog hair gel to keep it from getting into their eyes. That may one idea if you want to grow them out. |
That might nod be a bad idea. I realise the decision is up to me, but I would like to know what other people do as well. I don't want to have to take them to the groomer JUStT because of their nose hair every two or three months. We do take them regularly, but if anything happens and we have to miss a month or so, I don't want them to suffer (not being able to se), just because of that. |
I use to cut Joeys, but it seemed like I had to cut it quite often to keep the hair out of his eyes, if you've already grown it past that awkward stage, I would definitely keep it long. The groomer should never have shaved it, but should have cut it in a little "V", but she may have shaved it so you would have some time before needing a cut again. (Shaving can make the nose look a little long.) With the V cut you have to do it monthly, but this is something that can be done at home. I think Lola would look great in a topknot too, and I'm so glad she's doing better. |
That solved it for me Nancy, she's not getting it shaved. It's alomst past the awkward stage, just a month or so. Thank You |

V Cut Love the V cut! I'm going to use it on Jasper. I had shaved his nose and after I did I regretted it. However, I did not know how to do to keep the hair out of his eyes. The V cut is a great solution. Thanks :) |

That's great. :) Thats how the last groomer cut Tila's hair in that v. Now just got to grow it back, we were almost there too. It's just a waiting game now. Thanks. :) |
