Nicks on Alfie's paws after grooming I had Alfie groomed yesterday, and last night I noticed some nicks on his paws assuming they were from the dremel getting him after he jerked his leg back....that's what my boyfriend and I are thinking. Should I mention this to the business owner or just let it go? I've never had this happen before. I immediately got protective over him and felt a little angry that they hurt him. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks! |
I would absolutely tell them. Poor baby. If they are apologetic and considerate about this then I would ask for special care at the next groom. Perhaps request a more experienced groomer or just ask that they clip his nails. Kisses to his little paw. |
Forgot to add that if they brush you off then I'd find a new groomer. |
Thank you, Nico. I called and left a message with the girl there to have the owner call. I want to speak to him about it. I have gathered myself enough so I will be tactful in my approach. My friend told me that I had to approach it carefully, so they are not on the defense and I can get the help I need. Hope this works. |

Alfie's mom- I can absolutely relate to you. I would have a difficult time remaining calm and probably wouldn't even go back. I'm hopeful that the owner will suggest a more experienced groomer or something that will make you feel more comfortable. He's your baby and you can't be too overprotective of him. That's how I am and how I feel. |
