Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse.... I've been rinsing by little ones coats in an ACV rinse for the past few months and just love the feel of their coats. I wanted to try it because I heard it was useful for deterring fleas but the softness was something I wasn't expecting... I shampoo them and rinse well with water then I pour plenty of ACV on...I don't rinse it out.....I put about 1 1/2 c. in about a gallon of water...... When I first tried it I was really skeptical because on the comb out it wasn't easy....It felt a little tangled and rough but when it dried it was sooo soft......I didn't use anything else on the comb out because I wanted to see what the results where going to be like with just the rinse and no added conditioners or sprays .....I just love it..... Anyone else have good results with this?...... |

Wow, there really is 100 uses for vinegar :) I do clean with vinegar and baking soda. My house does smell like vinegar for a little bit but it's not so bad once you see the mirrors glistening at you. I can only imagine how shiny those puppies coats are! |
Vinegar doesn't smell after it dries. |
Julie you are right... thank goodness it doesn't take long at all to dry. LOL |

Here's another hair dresser trick. Add a bit of baking powder to the shampoo.....It really cleans the hair. Another trick after shampoo and before vinegar. That is if you want to take the time. Mayonaise, work it into the coat and wrap in a warm towel. Rinse and then vinegar rinse. I sometimes rinse with vinegar first, condition and then work the Mayonaise in rinse a bit, dry and use it instead of oil, before wrapping the coat. A bit more natural and no clogging of their pores. |

A vinegar rinse is good for all types of hair. I use it for conditioning all the time, plus it gets rid of any shampoo. It also makes a wonderful fabric softener in the laundry. |
