Which conditioner do you use?
 
I use Minksheen and have never needed a separate conditioner until now. But, Murphy's hair has gotten dry since the weather turned warmer. Can you recommend a good conditioner to use with Minksheen?

what about top dog is it ok to use with mink sheen? molly skin has become dry to lately an i have been using mink sheen

what about top dog is it ok to use with mink sheen? molly skin has become dry to lately an i have been using mink sheen. she looks like she needs to be brush all the time. when i started using it it did fine. but lately she looks dry. i don`t want to bathe her only once a week.

I use MinkSheen & Nova Pearls Creme Rinse...the best combo.

I'm not sure about the creme rinse but you can order Minksheen either through their website www.touchofmink.com, or YT'r AMD sells it on her website www.westbrookdog.com. It's great stuff!!

I use Bio Groom. They send out free samples of several of their shampoos if you're so inclined to ask them.

You can do a search or some pet stores carry it, but they're always out by my house.
It's made by Tomlyn: Tomlyn Nova Pearls Cream Rinse Conditioners it also has a light pleasent scent which doesn't interfere w/MinkSheen's smell (which I love) to repel insects. It actually smells good together...the best combo I tell you!:D

I use "Iv San Bernard's Pek" conditioner and most likely always will, as I've never found anything that gives me close to the same results.

I use the Biogroom cream rinse too. Occasionally, I use something else on Joey, as if I'm giving him a "deep conditioning" and wrap him in a warm towel with conditioner on his hair, but I've really never noticed any difference after doing this. He seems to like it though. It's important to follow directions when using a conditioner. Some demand that they are completely and thoroughly rinsed out, as it will cause hair to become dirty too fast, as they contain ingredients that "attract" dirt. Others say, do not completely rinse out.

Hmmm...I wonder who it was that recommended Bio Groom to me? I think I have a thread somewhere that a very nice woman responded to a very similar question I asked and gave me a website for free samples. You wouldn't happen to know who that is, would you? :rolleyes:

Actually Joey's breeder recommended it to me, and since she shows I figured she knew something about hair care. Someone else here at Yorkietalk told me about the website and free samples, I had been using it for a couple of years, and wanted some of the samples. It's so silly, it's like Joey's all set if we go on vacation, he has his little travel size bottles. :p

In case you forgot, that very nice woman was you! I was trying to be coy, but I believe it didn't come off quite right.

From what I've read, it is Pantene for human hair used undiluted - just make sure to rinse well.

I think a Remoisturizer is what you need. Try Espree Luxury Remoisturizer. Espree has a whole line of great shampoos, conditioners and other hair products for dogs. I bet you will not be disappointed. I have to confess to using a little on my own hair once because it really works that good and smells really nice too! Freshpets.com has it for a good price.

Somebody mention i think it was called royal coat what about it ? Can it be used with minksheen . I have been using minksheen to but i find molly looks dry to now an her coat don`t shine like it did when i first started useing it. An she looks like she needs to be brush all of the time. Is it because its summer?? I want a good conditioner. I can`t find it any where. I`m talking about royal coat. Just want a good conditioner

Use Pethead Shampoo and Earthbath conditioner. The Earthbath conditioner really improved my bigger boy's dry coat and flakiness. Now his coat is almost just as smooth as his older brother's.

You know, I hate it when I can't get a Shampoo and Conditioner in the same scent.. I always seem to like the smell of the Shampoo then the Conditioner seems to cover it.. Whats up with that...

I feel the same way, there are a few companies that make both shampoo and conditioner in the same scent, but they aren't always my favorite scents. The best thing for me, is to find a conditioner with a scent I love, as this is usually what you will smell, not the shampoo.
