Has anyone tried this shampoo for puppies? I was looking at the products that the YTmembers sell on here. I was thinking about getting the Espree Hypo-Allergenic coconut shampoo. Has anyone tried it. My 3 yorkies are 4 mths. old. The smallest is 1.4lbs. can I use it on her? It is tear-free also. |
I have never used it but thanks for the info... |
I seen it at Westbrookdog.com |
I ordered it from Petedge only because they did not have the Espree Silky Show Shampoo. I like my usual Silky Show a little better, but I do like the idea this Hypo-allergenic Coconut is tearless so I can use it on their faces. I was a little disappointed because it does not smell like coconut. But, it is a great shampoo and bottom line it leaves their coats silky smooth and shiny. That is really what is important anyway. |

I use and retail Espree products in my salon. They are very good. I have never had anyone say they had any problems with them. As for using on the faces, I only use baby shampoo around the eyes even though many dog shampoos are safe for the eyes. I'm just too anal about that stuff! LOL If you need shampoo for "problem" skin I use Micro Tek shampoo from Eqyss. They also have it in a spray. Awesome!!! :animal-pa |
The vet told me not to use anything but Dawn dishwashing liquid on them til they were at least 3 lbs. Rosco and Bo are 3 lbs., but Daisy is just 1.4lbs. That why I was wondering if this shampoo is safe to use on her? |
I used it but I didn't like it as much as Petsilk or Milksheen for my 2 cotony coated girls. It was ok on my silky coated one. |

I wouldn't dream of using Dawn dishwashing liquid on any small dog and would question any Vet that says too. Its just to harsh for their skin. Look what it does to our hands when we use it. Ok, look at it this way....dawn is used to remove grease from your dishes AND is also used to remove oil/grease from birds that have been affected by oil spills in the ocean. Now if your dogs dont fall into those 2 catagories I'd stay away from using any dish detergent. There are many wonderful dog shampoos and you have picked one of the best to use (Espree)Its totally safe! Also if you still have concerns about using Espree, contact them and talk to them about your concerns. They will answer any of your questions, I'm sure they'd be happy to help you! BTW.. they are online if you need their contact info. |
Not sure about the age, but I use Espree Silky Show and love it. Maybe you could as the person that sells it! I get mine from Westbookdog.com |

There is a lot written on the harsh chemicals in most commercial baby shampoos. Some of the problem chemicals are the SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), the foaming agents, the preservatives (like parabens), artificial dyes & smells and I am sure more. Sometimes they will change an atom or two and call the chemical something close to the ones previously listed as dangerous chemicals so I would stay away from anything that sounds close too. There are some natural baby shampoos -- if you use one that does not add chemicals, then it would probably be as safe as the Espree Hypoallergenic Coconut Shampoo. I doubt there are any serious health risks from any of them or they would not get an okay to be sold. But.... I worry about so many chemicals added to everything these days so if I can find a natural product that works as good I go with it. When I use my (still preferred) Espree Silky Show shampoo, I just use a wet washcloth on their faces, but the HA Coconut does a better job for sure. |
i was just at a grooming expo and bought a bunch of espree shampoo. I LOVE the stuff. |
