What to use for dry coat Sophie's coat isn't horribly dry, but I would like it to be better. She is 19 weeks old, if that makes a difference. We currently use BioGroom shampoo & conditioner. I also use Ice on Ice daily. Chewy's hair isn't dry at all & looks great. But Sophie has a thinner coat & the ends feel a bit dry to me. Any recommendations? It's almost time to re-order shampoo. |
Try Espree Luxury Remoisturizer. It is a nice product that will leave their hair very silky and as the name suggests ... remoisterized. I use a little instead of the regular conditioner at least half of the time after shampoos. |
Alot of people use Neutrogena light sesame oil. They sell it at Walmart and I imagine most dept stores in the human section. You have to be careful not to use too much though as instead, her hair will just look greasy. You use a little bit in a cup of water as a final rinse. |
My vet said to get an Omega-3 capsule, cut it open, and put it on Reuger's food every day. His fur is so much nicer than it was. I also use Science Diet Sensitive Skin. Hill's Science Diet Canine Sensitive Skin at PETCO |
Coconut oil liquified and rubbed into the coat works wondes for deep conditioning. I really like Chris Christensen Silk Spirits for a weekly treatment. |
Thanks, everyone. I'll check into these. I'm sure it's gonna be a trial and error thing until I find what I like & what works best. |
