I need help with a puppy cut picture!!! Hello Gang, I've been letting my furbutt Chloe grow out due to a terrible grooming accident from a vets office. I swore I would not do another cut except around her face and butt area. Anyway, now that Chloe is growing out, She has the cotton fur instead of silky and she is getting matted up. No matter how much I comb/brush her or condition her. I'm about to pull my hair out myself. She gets her face in her water bowl and her beard is full of dog food. LOL I think it's time to go back to the puppy cut and I need some cute photos to take to the NEW groomer tomorrow morning. Can you help me? |
Here's a post from a while ago that might help a little (it has a couple pics):http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...puppy-cut.html Good luck!!! :D |
I have had Nolee in puppy cut and let it grow out! My favorite is the puppy cut. Post pics when you have it done! |
3 Attachment(s) Gracie Ruth has the same problem with matting. I broke down and had her cut in Jan. The first picture is one that I found and printed off to take, the second is G's before and the third is her after. The face still isn't quiet right, but we'll continue to work on it. They did not touch her topknot or ears other then to just trim the ends so that they'd be healthy. I had them cut her to a 1" length on the body and I really like that. Left the hair on the legs a little longer because she is so petite she'd look like a bad stick drawing of a bobble head dog otherwise.:D |
We keep the "guys" in "puppy" or short cuts all the time (see our album). They have the same problem too, beards full of dog food and wet after drinks, especially Zack since his is so thick. I will wipe their muzzles/beards off with a damp cloth after each meal. |
1 Attachment(s) Here is a picture of Chip in his puppy cut. He is a little messy cause he had been outside playing for awhile, but you get the idea. |
Why or Why did I do this!!!!! Thanks for everyone's input and cute pictures. I took Chloe to get groomed and went to a place a friend told me about. OMG!!!!!! They left her long on her body and cut almost all her hair off of her face. I'm not kidding. Her top knot was not very long and now it's longer then on her face. Now I'm stuck going back to the place that she had it done before to cut off the remaining hair on her body to even it out. She looks like she has this hugh body and a tiny, tiny head. The grooming place gave me my money back but It don't bring back her hair. I'm very upset. On top of everything else, She started acting really strange and started throwning up. I had to rush her to the vet. The vet said that she was traumatized and that you and me have good bacteria and bad bacteria in our bodies. When you are traumatized and stressed it causes the bad bacteria to elevate in which it causes this. Now not only is she throwing up, stressed and look like a butcher attacked her, I was out another 60.00 on a vet bill. I also have to pay the new groomer. I guess I won't complain about the normal groomer anymore. :( |
You don't think they may have given her some kind of sedative or something, do you? Many years ago, I took my yorkie to be groomed and she was not herself when I picked her up. I think she was sedated but I couldn't prove it. Another time, another groomer - she was completely tramatized and freaking out when I picked her up. Needless to say... no more groomers for her. I did it myself. It wasn't perfect but it was better than that! |
Puppy Cuts... 2 Attachment(s) Here's our version of a puppy cut.. The groomer usually cuts her body about 2in... and short around the face as well. Its a lot easier for us to manage. Between myself, Meka & my daughter, I just couldnt keep up with all the hair :) Hope this helps... have a great day :D |
