Clothes and matting hair Okay, so we live in a pretty cool place in the winter and so I had been keeping Tobi's hair a bit longer thining it might keep him warmer. He still needs to wear sweaters and jackets though and he LOVES to be dressed. Like T-Shirts are a huge thing - I think this is because his foster momma dressed the yorkies up often. The problem is matting hair. If Tobi wears a sweater for a decent walk we get back and he is matted around his neck and under his arms. How do you guys deal with this? I am going to get him cut short for the time being. He is 14 months, so he should have his full adult coat by now, shouldn't he? Oh, and I brush him and comb hm out at least once a day... Thanks! The matting is one reason why I keep Meka with a short cut. Its so much easier to maintain. She likes wearing clothes too, so I just make sure she's dressed for the cold weather :) |
If your going to keep the hair long the only thing Ive found that helps is to brush the hair before you put the clothes on then again after you take them off. A good detangler spray helps also |
when dolly used to have super long hair(floor length), I would spay in some coat oil and then put in wraps. but honestly its a lot of work which is the reason why I had her cut down into a shorter length! |
Tricksie has a long coat, cannot put clothes on her, not even a collar for more than 30 min. |
