Pet Silk Liquid Silk Serum/ Ever use it? Buddy has a pretty silk coat, however, between the very cold weather and the heat indoors this winter it has become dry. I changed shampoos recently which did help but it still was not it's best. I found and ordered Pet Silk Liquid Silk Serum hoping this would help. It's expensive I think (11.95) and comes in a little bottle. Maybe 1.5-2ozs I don't remember. He's so big so it won't last long, however it's amazing in bringing back the coat. I find it works better on a damp coat. I was wondering if anyone has used it and if I'm using it correctly. Thanks in advance. |
havent used it carol ,and im sure your using it the right way. its probably like silk serum for humans.. make hair straight and silky looking. no frizz |
I use this or something close to it everytime I brush my girl. Mine is made by the same person who makes Paul Mitchell Shampoo. It makes her hair so soft and does wonders for my hands as well. The pet supply place told me that you should never brush a yorkie dry and to use this each time I brush her. It seems to work wonders. |
yes i use the silk serum and I love how it works on Cooper's cottony coat. |

The bottle is so small it won't last for long. It does work great. |
we use this too!!! i use it the same way you do....i pour less than a dime size amount on my hands, rub it into my hands and apply it to their damp coats before i blow dry...sometimes i add a little after they are dry for an extra "shine" :) i like the way it smells but i think the smell is too strong for my kids (or they are just being dramatic  lol) because they will sneeze for about 2 minutes after i put this on them and after i blow dry :p |

Awww that's cute. Do you say God Bless to them? Ok so I am using it correctly. I guess because Buddy is so big it seems crazy that it was $11.99 and the bottle is so small. It works that's what matters. Thanks I guess the bottle looks small because he's so big! |

i agree, the bottle is tiny for the amount they charge...but if it works on buddy, it is good :D i think the bottle may last longer than you think since you probably only use about a nickel size? :) i have heard of people on YT using human shine products (citre shine maybe?)....i wonder if that would work just as well and would be less than half the cost...really all that is in the shine products are silicones - be it dimethicone or cylcomethicone - which coats the hair and makes it look shiny - and as long as it does not irritate buddys skin, he might do well with it :) |

Thanks for the info. It has taken the dry look out of his coat from the weather and heat in the house. He normally has a very shinny coat but this winter has done him and I in as far as dryness goes. |
Petedge has it for $9.99 |

That's interesting. Thank you Chachi. |
Thanks for sharing, Jazzies hair seems to tangle easy perhaps this may help. :) |

Pet Silk also makes a tangle free spray. I have it but haven't used it yet. Bud's coat is still coming in. I bought this product for dryness and it works wonder's. |

Petsilk is MAGIC in a bottle!!I have had the same bottle of the serum for almost 2 years and i use it on Lily almost every time she gets a bath.I also use it on my hair and my daughters when we blow out and flat iron, that stuff is better than any human silk serum ever!! |
