Does the cotten coat usually look sticky? My little Bella looks really dry and she usually have flakes after a bath. After about 2-3 days she'll look really oily and sticky...like her hair's stuck together. I believe she has a cotten coat. Does this sound normal? I end up bathing her once a week because she ends up looking gross in a few days. Any suggestions? :( |
Perhaps if you post a picture will help, what shampoo and conditioner are you using on her? Maybe her food has something to do with it? I'm sure you'll get the right answer here |
If you home feed the right foods, give Omega fatty acids and use a mild shampoo and conditioner, you will not have these problems, promise. ;) |
1 Attachment(s) I've been feeding her nature's recipe and have been bathing her with "relief" which is a pramoxine shampoo which the pet store told me to use for her flaky skin. She doesn't have as much dandruff as she use to but her hair is still usually dry after a shower and really "sticky" looking after 2-3 days. I hope this pic can help a little but I'm not sure if you can tell what I mean't when her hair looks "sticky" |
Also, if you notice the hairs in her her eyes...I've been told to cut those but I also wanted it to grow out and tie it up with the rest of her hair. But my question is...am I suppose to keep those short? I read that if they were cut, I'll need to continue keeping them short or they'll poke her in the eye. Right now it hasn't been a problem. |
