Posh Paws butchered poor London 4 Attachment(s) i took london to a place in rochester NY called Posh Paws about 2 months ago. the woman didnt do an amazing job but it was better than petco and petsmart ever did. i just took her back today and she asked what i wanted and i said i wanted her hair on her back cut a little shorter, just a trim on top of her head because i always have the top knot bow in her hair, a round face (like the picture on the wall), and to cut her butt and legs a little shorter because they grow faster. i picked her up today and i paid for the "service" and they brought her out. i grabbed the leash and went to the car and cried. the woman SHAVED my dog. there is a tiny spot of hair about an inch long between her ears that she put a bow on. my room mate and she just said "oh well. i cut her shorter and there is a bow in her hair" im soooo upset. she doesnt look like a yorkie at all. shes like a chihuahua. i hate it. the first picture, providing i can figure this out, is how she normally looks. the rest are |
4 Attachment(s) here are more pictures.... and i think i uploaded a picture of my baby cousin (oops) clearly im new at this. |
well she coudln't be any cuter but i know that doesn't make you feel any better. The same thing happened to Layla at Petsmart.. they shaved her down.. in december... in Ontario... needless to say i cried when i picked her up... she had to wear a sweater inside and out because of how cold it was... well she hasn't gone back.. after that i decided i cna't do any worse and i bought a clipper and do it at home now. but isn't she SO soft??? that was the only good part :) |
1 Attachment(s) this is how short her body hair is!!! its like 1/2 inch!! thanks for listening to my rant. im just so upset! i wish i could get hair extentions put in her hair!!! |
It will grow fast. Don't worry too much, cause she is still a cutie and it probably feels good! |

I can understand you being upset. So many of us have been threw the samething. I don't know why groomer's don't listen in the first place. Just be patient because it will grow back. She is a cutie pie with and without her coat. |
It'll grow really fast, I shaved Lilly's hair off on my own and also had her shaved a few months later again at the groomer and it needs shaved again. She's still cute though!! Also something I noticed, not sure how much your baby weighs or how big she is but you might want to get her a harness instead of a collar, it looks like it's pulling on her neck and you don't want to have to deal with a messed up trachea. |
Master?? Groomer I was looking for an experienced groomer for an AKC Airedale Terrier. They take extra skill to cut properly. Susan Hassett is supposed to be a Certified Master Groomer. I expect someone with that certification and the high prices to go with it, to do the best that I can get. The first visit, I took a quick look before leaving & all seemed ok. After getting home, I was petting my dog and felt bumps near her under arms on the ribs. I looked closely and she had electric razor cuts in her skin. You could see the outline of the electric shear teeth. I put some antibiotic on it and thought that was it. Later I was petting her head & noticed the razor lines that should be there from the different level coat, was not a straight line or even from side to side. I kind of brushed it off as a simple mistake. Roughly 6 weeks goes by & I take her back in for her 2nd cut by Ms Hassett. I asked that her rear legs be "slightly" trimmed, not left full length like the last time. I complained about the shear cuts in her skin from the first cutting. I was extremely disappointed when I went to pick her up and she was shaved all the same length from the neck back. NOT the way an Airedale is supposed to be cut. I looked her over and saw her nails were barely even cut. They were all jagged and sharp. I was really irritated so I left after commenting aloud about the poor job. No response. I was petting my dog the next day and happened to notice the face/throat cuts were unbalanced WORSE than the first visit. A day after the grooming she began to form heavy mucus at her tear ducts. At first, I thought little of it. The next day it was worse. I contacted my vet & they said it is most likely due to the groomer improperly protecting the eyes & not doing a thorough rinse of the soap which caused an irritation or infection. Now, she is on eye drops to clear this up. As high priced as Ms. Hassett is, and her supposed certification...She definitely won't get my business again. Poor job multiple times and cost me added expense of vet costs, let alone the pain & discomfort she has caused my dog multiple times. I highly suggest you DON'T use their services if you care at all about your pet. |

She's still a little cutie... it grows back but I would definitely find a new groomer. |
She looks cute. I would go back and talk to the owner and tell her what happen. . .you should get your money back. I would look for a new groomer. . . I groom Galen myself which is another option |
