Wahl clipper I was just at WalMart checking out dog clippers. They have a Wahl for 44 dollare. Its called the Wahl pro cut. its rechargable, has easy removable blade( I assume you can replace it) 4 combs, stainless steel scissors, blade oil, and a DVD about dog grooming.. Does anyone have this or know anything about it? |
I don't know anything about that brand. You would probably be better informed by asking a reputable groomer what brand would be good. I do my own grooming and use a 2 speed andis + with a couple size blades. |
I had one.... if you are going to be doing your own grooming.. do yourself a favor and get a professional set. I struggled with the cheaper ones for years.. and I could kick myself for it. When I got my professional set.. I was in heaven. Sure.. they are more expensive but sooooooo worth it. Save your money and get the good ones to start. |
I have one and it works pretty good, it is what I am currently using. However you will definitely need a cool lube spray as it tends to get hot after 10-15 minutes. I love that you can snap off the blade to clean it or you can buy different size blades that snap on. I have tried a few Andis ones and this one works better. If you don't want to spend a lot of money than I would go with this. If you want a professional one I would probably go with an Oyster. |
I didnt see the different blades at wal mart. Is there an order form in the package? I was thinking that if it worked ok I would start out with that one and think about a better one later if needed.. Can I buy the spray for the blades at wal mart to? |
You can buy the spray and oil at Wal Mart in the hair appliance dept. Where the hair dryers, curling irons, etc. are sold. |
I'm on my 3 set of Wahl clippers. I really like them and they seem to work well as long as you keep the blade clean and oiled properly. (And don't smash them on the driveway, like I did.:rolleyes:) I have a set that is a beard trimmer for men. It's small and has batteries. I like them better than the other two sets. |
