I'm so scared I have trimmed, washed, dryed, wrapped by dogs hair for awhile now but I can't get over my fear to do a sanitary cut. I usually do it buy hand with scissors, I bought a small beard trimmer and was thinking of using it for the butt, pads and tummy. Does anyone have a video they recommend where I can watch this (up close ). I'm just scared the trimmer will hurt his little butt if I get it too close of something... any advise would be greatly appreciated. |

That's what I use with no problems ever. |
I use my hubby's mustache trimmer in between the pads, the ears and bottom area. Never had a problem with it. You will do fine. Just don't use scissors. |
just always make sure the blade of the clippers is laying FLAT agaist the skin and never cross sections a skin flap (that is how knicks occur). Have a light and gentle hand. I use a #10f blade but I am not sure about the beard trimmers. You could always ask how much it would cost for a local groomer to give a short and quick lesson on how to do it. |
