I use Pet Silk on Cali who is a cottony coat and matts easily. I tried a lot of others and none worked as good. She comes ot silky looking. I can't use it on Pixie who is a silky coat as it makes her look greasy. Can't wait to see pics! |

Nolee has wirey hair. I use milksheen shampoo and pantene ice shine conditioner. I also make sure to brush him daily to keep the matts out. |
I, too, cut Shelby short for this reason.... I will also be trying the PetSilk, lol.... hopefully it works because I love my girl with long hair =] Thanks for posting this, I thought I was the only one, haha! |
Well I guess I need to start looking for petsilk also... I have heard it was good but Maravilhosa has the cotton coat too...I hate to have to cut her hair.. she looks so darn cute long.. hee hee thanks for the tips all of you who are posting.. anne |
Okay, Zaccheus is only going on five months old, and his hair is still so short we have had no trouble with matting as of yet. I have thought that I'd have to keep him in the puppy cut whenever the time came. |
Plush Puppy's seabreeze oil works wonders... you can even add it to their bath water... |
Mary I forgot.. try ice on ice by chris christenson... I have used it for years and years.. but with mara.. I shaved her tummy and up her sides underneath some.. makes her hair much easier to comb and I so love it now.. she has so many less knots.. and her hair does not look like I did that..myfairlacy just discovered it awhile ago and loves it.. if you need help.. send me a pm.. anne |
