Wrap coat show dog my yorkie 8 month female, this years will go to china ,nanning show dog. i want prepare her coat and train. when i can wrapped her coat? three day once wrap change new or everyday wrap and change ? thanx you |

I usually wrap the head once a day, the body every two/three days (they're wearing jackets). But your dogs coat isn't that long yet so you propably must wrap her every day at the beginning to keep the wraps at placew. Once the coat is longer it'll be easier! |

I Bath the dog once a week/every 10 day depends how dirty he is. I use shampoo and cond, blowdry and add some more cond/oil to the lenghts. Then I wrap. When he seems to be needing to be wrapped again, I mist some water/cond to the coat, brush and wrap again. Oil tends to draw dirt to it so I use jackets - its easier that way. |

1 Attachment(s) I don't think his coat has suffered from being bathed so "seldomly", What do you think? He's standin really awfully... sorry about that. |

Can I ask you what kind of jacket's you use? Do you by chance have a picture of one, or where you get it from? |

1 Attachment(s) I make his jackets myself and this one isn't the best one.. :p but you get the idea. The fabric is some kind of a lining fabric. I've been working on the model, this one is a bit tight on the front and too big at the back. But it works while the others are being washed. Sorry I don't have pics on the better ones. |

Thanks, I have been thinking of doing that also, using a satiny material so that the hair slides under the fabric rather than catching on it. Just thought maybe there was some place you could buy them. I have everything I need to make them, except for the time. Seems I never have enough of that. I do make my own belly bands for the show boys, using the satin material, but they only take a few minutes to make, but the jackets take me quite a bit longer. |

make jacket with satin material yes? i look pict is cotton material ... |

It's something synthetic. This one's so wearn down that it's lost its shine.. I have another on Sylvis jacket, this is a bit different. Pics are too large to upload here! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...93/nimetn2.png http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y29...3/IMG_9354.png |

is nylon??sorry my english not good...satin not good material wearn down that it's lost its shine? |
|
The fabric is something synthetic, like silk but silker, very slippery and thin. In the first pic the jacket is so old that it doesn't look like it used to do, it used to shine but this one does not shine any more. I've tried tons of different fabrics and this is the best. Sorry that I don't know what it is. Satin was OK, too! This is thinner than satin. |

Yes, I know what the fabric is you use, the satiny material I use is very thin, when I make pillows with it I have to double it or triple it so that it will hold up better against their digging in the beds at night. |
