What Clippers Are Best? Hi guys -- I usually take all of the babies to the groomers a few times a year, but prefer to groom myself when at all possible. Well, I bought Wahl clippers at PetSmart about a year ago and haven't even used them much and they are completely not functioning well. They make this awful noise and shake so badly as I'm clipping that my hand goes numb. They barely cut hair either. I don't have my receipt or they would be going back :thumbdown. I've cleaned them, everything I can think of and I'm so disappointed as they weren't cheap either . Does anyone have any recommendations for your tried and true clippers? I'd really appreciate the help guys :) |
I've got the Oster Powermax, 2 speed. Seems another groomer recommended Oster Golden A5. So far mine have worked great, but then I don't do a lot of grooming, like a professional does. |
I love my Andis A5 clippers. If you leave your baby long and just do a sanitary cut I would recomend checking out Whal Arco adjustable clippers. They adjust to 9,10,15,30,40 blade sizes. I love mine! |
I have always used Oster Golden A5 2 speeds!!! They are great and hard working clippers!!! You can buy all sizes of blades that you need. Clippers do need to be serviced once per year or depending how much you use them and blades need to be sharpened as well. I got mine at Ryans Groomer/Pet Supply and they service and repair the clippers and sharpen blades at reasonable prices. |
