Need help with Chris Christensen brush Hi all!!! I am going to buy a Chris Christensen brush but was looking on their website and am not sure was size or mm I should buy- could someone please help??? Keoki has long hair and lots of it- he is also 6 pounds so I do not know what size to buy ???? Also does anyone have a preference between the gold and the fusion??? I appreciate the input and help- I am ready to purchase it ASAP but want to buy the right one. Thanks!!!!!:) |
I have and love the 20mm gold pin brush. I have seen others post that the fushion brush wasn't worth the price - but I have no first hand experience with this. |
I loved my CC Gold series brush with the 27 mm pins. I hated the Fusion brush. It wasn't worth the money. I sold it after only using it a few times. My new favorite brush is the Madan pin brush. I didn't think anything could make me give up my Gold Series brush, but it did. The Madan is used by show people and is the best brush I have ever used. Madden Brushes for Dogs |
I have the 27mm Gold Series one too & love it. xx Meggie |
I like the 20 mm gold pin brush |
Thank you!!! I am going to get the gold 20 mm then- I appreciate the feedback!!! |

I don't think they are that well known. They are mostly sold at dog shows and used by show people. They're a well kept secret! A member on another forum sells them at dog shows for even less than Lainee - $16.99. If you are interested, pm me and I can give you her email address. I got mine from her. |

My first Chris Christensen was an oblong 20mm pin brush and I used it for a couple years, then the pins started pushing into the pad. When I replaced it I bought a 27mm round fusion brush. Well, the head seemed too big for my Yorkies and hated for all that money to go to waste, so I tried it on my own long hair. I love it! It works great and feels good on my scalp. :) I bought a new 27mm oblong brush for my Yorkies. I find that with a long coat, the 27mm works better and the oblong size seems to fit better. These are great brushes and are worth the extra cost. I don't see any benefit for the fusion though. |
I just recently became a CC addict. I personally love the 20 gold pin brush. I think that the length of the pins is more a personal preference than anything. Unfortunately, they are pricey making it hard to try each and figure it out. I personally like the 20 better than the 27, but use my brushes more so to finish the coat........I use a comb to get any tangles out. And yes, the CC combs are wonderful as well. Enjoy whatever you choose! |
