Making Hair Grow Faster?!
 
What steps do you take to make your baby hair grow faster. Kitty has a cottony coat and I would like for her body hair to grow faster. Her hair on her head/face is coming in fast and is already past her chest area.

I would like to know what type of products everyone uses and procedures. Thank You!

Brewer's Yeast pills really help Kaba's hair grow faster. Her hair grows ridiculously slow and I do see a big difference when I give her those.

There are lots of wonderful grooming products that work for different coats but I think the quality of food your yorkie eats has more to do with it than anything....and of couse who the parents were.

Her father had short hair and the mother had long hair that reached the floor. so it's between.

Vellus products are wonderful and they may have something for a cottony coat??

I know, I can't afford it any longer but it is great.

I swear this is true. Now Crystal has a silk coat and I was out of shampoo. Since I always use no tears Johnson's baby shampoo on her head and face, I just used it for the entire shampoo with a conditioner and it turned out super. Another thing you probably know but I might mention is to never brush a dry coat (always mist it with water first) or you will have breakage and of course takes longer to grow. Good Luck

Misting the coat with Pantene Pro V Detangling Light Conditioning Mist makes brushing a breeze. Plain water mist can be difficult to brush thru. ;)

Growing hair also depends a lot on their genetics. Also carpet, grass, and fabrics/material can also make the hair shorter. Just take a look of grass up close 0 it is like a blade - very sharpe.

For some reason, she's terrified of grass. (the one time i tried to put her on it, she wouldn't move at all) LOL... when ever she has to go, she will go on concrete and I have to wash it off afterwards.

I will try that too. I usually use a doll brush on her and brush her about 3 times a day. The brush is super soft. I'm looking for a different type of brush, also. Thanks

Your brushes will help you alot. A good boar bristle brush is a must and they last forever and a sm. pin brush ( the pins do not have to be long since a yorkies hair is not that thick) a nice comb to run throught the body to make sure there are no mats and a small comb for the face and really that's all you need. Once you brush him with that boar brush every night his hair will show a big improvement I'm sure. I love to do it at night since it so relaxing for them, it just about puts them to sleep.

I am so sorry for calling Kitty a him, I read one of the later posts and you said 'she' and I went back to your first post. I guess it didn't click, you did say 'Kitty' and I didn't know you had a little girl too. I thought you were talking about Cody. I bet she is a doll too.

I love this stuff. I spray the girls after swimming or a bath and just fluff them with my hands. They air dry with no tangels, nice and shiney! It smells really good too!
