Carl - I love this cut on her!! I've always thought that Sadie and Beatrice look alike. I'm definately going to keep this in mind if I ever get her cut. I feel like I got a preview of what she would look like with it. My husband saw the pictures and he's ready for me to do it now! I have Beemer in the "Joey" cut but this looks like a feminine version. Hmmm.

Yes, it is mainly silver. She does tangle. I have to brush her daily or her hair would be a tangled mess. I also have to be very careful with the shampoo I use and I have to use conditioner as well. Never made the connection that it had to do with silver coloring. I always thought it was because I kept it long.

I love the cut. I never tried it with the body shaved. It looks very good. BTW she's beautiful!!!

Just checking in to see if this Southeast Form is still active? Me? I have been so busy busy busy with yorkie rescue recently that there's no time for 'fun' stuff. I'd like to see an active SE forum, especially in FL where I live.

Yes Karen they do look alike, maybe it's the short nose :) I've never regretted cutting off her hair, I get a lot of compliments on it when I'm walking her.Everyone asks me where I bring her to have her groomed LOL
Basically the blue is the only part that is clippered, and the trick is bleding the clippered blue into the longer gold without leaving a line. First time I did it there was a line, but the second time I did it I mastered the blending

Oh my goodness she is cute!! I love the cut, that's pretty much what I've been thinking I want for Kizzie as she get's a little older, still keeps her looking like a yorkie but a little easier to maintain and comfy for them!

Wow, Beatrice is gorgeous. I LOVE this cute on her:thumbup: Do you like it better this way, easier to take care of an all?
I may try to let a little bit of skirt grow out on Zhoie for winter too. The look is great!
I can't tell in the last picture, but is the butt shaved too?

Carl, I want to try a skirt on Zhoie, when it grows, LOL. What did you use to blend in so no line is showing? What blade do you use for her back?

The first time I clipped her like this I used # 10 blade, But I found it was too short. The last time I did it I used a 7W which is a blending blade( I clipped against the hairgrowth ) ,but I clipped all of her blue with it. I gradually lifted the clipper off her where I wanted to blend in with the gold. Then I used my thinning shears to blend in the longer hair

I'm biting the bullet! I have an appointment next Monday. Sadie is going to be sporting the Beatrice look! I think I'll leave her tail long like Beemer's but she's getting her first big hair cut!
