to cut or not to cut... 1 Attachment(s) This is Brea. She is small. (4 lbs.) Her hair right now is like half way down her legs. Perfectly straight. I'm wondering if she would look ok with her hair shorter. I have seen some Yorkies that really shouldn't have short hair:rolleyes: and just wondering and wanting some opinions on my baby. thanks Attachment 207246 </IMG> |
I think it's a question of personal preference. I have two whose hair I keep short only because it tangles so easily and the dogs have no patience with me when I try to comb, but my third is somewhat similar to yours and on that one I leave it long because he is a patient sole and does'nt fuss when I brush it. And besides, even if you cut his hair and you don't like how it's looks, well you always have the consolation that it will grow back.... |
NOPE nope...dont do it!!! She is a cutie......and she deserves to look like the princess that she is....with a long flowing mane....LOL:D Quote:

I very much prefer long coats. The only yorkie I've ever thought looked better with shorter hair was my friend's dog...he has a cottony coat that is very curly and just poofs out like an afro when it starts to get long. So he looks much neater with a very short cut. But personally, I think yorkies look better with long hair (as long as the owner keeps them well-groomed) |
I say leave it long. She looks like my Maggie! She is adorable. |
I also think she looks beautiful. I wouldn't cut her hair. No way. I haven't seen a Yorkie with a haircut that I like and just try to find a groomer who will even do what you want. They yes you to death and you come back to pick up your dog and you want to faint. |
I have a cottony girl too and at first tried to grow her hair out. What a joke that was. :D She now stays short. So, what length to keep it? I don't think I want it all the way to the floor. Is there any certain length that looks best on the little ones? As you can tell, I'm having a hard time deciding.:) Does anyone have pics of little ones with longer hair you would care to share? |
