Oster combs Hi all, I bought the Oster A5 2 speed, it came with a 10blade, and I bought a 4 & 4f blade. My question is the snap on combs, do I need or want them? I found a set of 7 for $25 at petsmart. Since I haven't given the boys a cut yet, and I'd like to wait till it gets a little warmer out, I don't know how long or short the cut will be. But I'd like to be prepared and have everything I need when I am ready for the cuts, I'll be cutting 3 dogs, my 5yr old, my 3mos old, and my moms 3mos old. Thanks. |
anyone? |
I've got the same clipper and love it! I've had it for years and would buy one again in a heartbeat. The blades give a shorter cut than combs. I don't like the #4 blades because they cut the coat too short. The 3F is fairly new and better. It cuts about 1/2". I prefer the comb attachments. I usually use the 1" for a short puppy cut in the summer since it's so hot here in the summer. If you do decide to use the combs, though, you'll have to get a #40 blade to use underneath them. I really think you'll be happy with your new clipper. |
Oh, I thought I'd be able to use the #10 blade under the combs. |
