Bows???? Does Anyone Know Where To Get Good Bows? And I Was Told To Use The Little Clips For Girls, But Im Afraid He Will Get It Out And Choke On It?? The Band Are Hard For Me To Put In |
I don't like the bands because they pull the hair out. I ended up with a bald spot on my baby about the size of a pencil eraser! When her hair was getting long enough to be pulled back, but not long enough for a bow, I used the little hair clips. I bought them at the dollar store and ALWAYS took them out of her hair at night and when I had to leave her for any length of time during the day. Even now, when I use the dog bows, I never leave them in her hair when she is alone. There are tons of websites you can find to order dog bows, just google them :) |
These are my favorite bow makers: www.myladysdogbows.com YT member Ladymom makes these bows (she does barretts or bands) YT member crb's bows - no website but she has some for sale threads - her bows are on barretts www.doggiebowties.com www.valsdivados.com I usually buy from her on eBay though - her name is bowsbyval |
I just ordered a bunch of "boy bows" from this gal on ebay- the bows in the pictures are DARLING and so many choice! I think she gives the option of clips or bands. It's an ebay store called Beez Boys, I should get them early next week and will let everyone know! I am excited to get them! |
I have two pages of boy bows on my website if you'd like to take a look. The link is in my siggie. To answer your question, yes, barrettes can be a choking hazard. Bands are safer, but not everyone can do bands, especially on a wiggly puppy. I hot glue, then hand sew, all barrettes on my bows with heavy duty button thread so they won't come off the bow. You can also spray the bow with a little Bitter Apple to discourage chewing. Until he's a little older, never leave a bow on him unless you are supervising him to be safe. |
LadyMom, I just bookmarked your page! Your bows are so cute and creative! I especially like the pirate bows! Perfect!!! I'm sending you an email now! |
