Please help My baby Jazzmin is SOOO cute when she has her bows in but now that is very rare. The hair on the top of her head is absolutely out of control and she shakes it all the time and scratches and shakes her head until her bows are out, leaving a mess of a poofball on top of her head. So my dilemma is next time I get her groomed I am thinking of just having them give her the teddy bear face all the way around, which I assume would mean making her topknots non-existent. Has anyone else had this problem or know of any bows or something that I can put it and guarantee wont come out because she shakes and scratches them out to the point that the top of her head looks a mess. Almost as if she is unkept and I don't like that look at all. |
Sammy hates bows. She will scratch or roll on her back to get her topknot out at least once a day. I just have to keep re-doing them. Usually I put it in, she takes it out and I put it back, and then she gives up and goes to take a nap :) Do you take them out at night? Sometimes that helps. They are scratching because it is uncomfortable. Try putting it in looser or using a looser band. Also, I use claw clips on Sam and that helps the band stay in and looks cute without having a bow in her hair. |
If you ever figure out the answer to this one I would love to know. Lucy will let me do ANYTHING to her except the bows. I have tried everything. I started as soon as I got her at 12 weeks and she is not 10 months and it isn't one bit better...lol:rolleyes: |
Some like it and some dont:rolleyes: I have 2 out of the 5 that will keep theres in, I keep karleigh in the puppy cut and we love it on her:) still working on molly, I just got the very small bands from gofetch:D they work great:thumbup: |
I use the little claws that you buy for little girls hair..they stay in pretty good until they get a lot more hair to put the bows in |
I got tired of the unkept look without the topnots too so i cut off the topknot hair but have the rest of the hair long and its cute |
Annika used to do that a lot but if you just tie their hair everyday they eventually will get used to it . . .make sure you redo every morning or every night and change the rubber band . . . see if this will work. |
Try first with the rubber band only not to close to the skin then add a not very heavy bow like a puppy bow she will get use to it, well I hope:rolleyes::D |
keeping in bows Hi: I don't actually have a yorkie, but my late Lhasa Apso, Pepper, wore a ponytail in her hair for the full 13 years we were together. I had the same problem until I began using the "ouchless" hair elastics...I have a package here by "Goody" (www.goody.com) I also use them in my hair and they are great. I hope this helps...Pepper never minded them and as she got older, she would sit for me as soon as I said I needed to fix her pony. Good luck, Terri |
