I can't remember how long it took to stay down but he's about 1 1/2 in those pics. Its hard but you just have to leave it, try to let it now bother you, and it will grow :) Kinda like our own hair. if you've ever grown your hair out at some point you get frustrated and just want to cut it! Well dont'!!!!! It'll get there!!!! LOL Actually Brooklyn is 6 months old and I've never cut his. lemme see if I have pics on this computer at work. |
2 Attachment(s) Forgot to ask ........if its been cut before, it does tend to grow back like its poking in the eye. Has it been cut before? Here's one of Brooklyn. He's 6 months old yesterday and this pic is a few weeks old. I've NEVER cut his and his lays down already. The 2nd pic is of Brodie with his Beard trimmed up but NOT his eye hair. That I've never touched. |
I've never cut hair by the eye - I don't like a scissors by their eye, I don't like short hair poking in their eyes and I like the long-look better. But, yep, it can be tough to get it to lay down. :D |
So, do you not cut ANY of the hair around the eye? I mean, like where their nose and eyes come together (does that EVEN make sense at all??) Like between the eyes which would be like the bridge of our noses; that's the area I am always trying to keep trimmed b/c when it starts growing, it looks like it's poking them in the eyeball. Will that eventually just lie down too if you let it grow? |
I never cut Lulu's for that reason..I hate that it grew fast when I had to cut it but slow when I wanted it to grow out. So I stopped cutting it and would take some hair conditioner and part the hair and kind of gel it down with it. |
pulling it all back i dont pull Smokey's back i just keep little "bangs" cut...but a friend of mine has a female that she is trying to grow out and she pulls it back above both eyes (like dog ears with two very little clips ) it looks adorable and does the trick....hope this helps :animal36 :animal-pa |
I actually found one of those barretes that a few of you mentioned.I have two daughters so It was easy to find one.I put it on and it works perfectly.Im surprised shes not trying to take it off.I thinks its because she can actually see now.It works well for the hair above the eyes. Now im just going to have to ignore the hair in between the eyes until it grows out. |

I seem to be running into the same problem of hair seeming like it is poking Sully in the eyes, he is about 7 months old. Do any of you know if it is bad for the eyes to have hair poking in them like that? Whenever I notice it, I always comb it down but 10 minutes later it is back doing it's own thing!! :confuse2: I think I've read about people using Vaseline to keep the hair down while it is growing too. Have any of you tried this? |
is that the thread that post the hair product that is like a gel or mousse?? |
