Need Suggestions? 2 Attachment(s) I am in need of suggestions for my new girl....Georgia is a 5 yr old retired breeder....They cut her hair above her eyes...And I am letting it grow out so she won't look so butchered and can wears bows....Any suggestions on what to do with it while it grows out....It almost looks like a unibrow...lol....Also, it is getting in her eyes..As you can see in the pics...but is too short for a bow at the moment... Thanks, Joyce |
Good Morning and Merry Christmas! I had to cut the top of Sadie's hair a while back. Unfortunately you are going to have to wait it out. When it starts to get longer try putting a little elastic band in it (they have ones for baby's hair that is like plastic so it doesn't break the hair and you just cut them out). She may look funny for a while but,at least it will stay out of her eyes. Maybe someone here has another suggestion. |
Ah, Georgia is so pretty!   Actually, her hair isn't too bad. It's long enough to do something with. Those little clips they make for children's hair work great to catch the hair up now. When it gets just a little bit longer, you can start putting it up in a band and use hair gel for the stragglers. You'll have to make the topknot lower so she'll look like a unicorn for awhile, but as it grows, you can raise it up higher and higher on her head. Did you adopt Georgia from someone here on YT? She's a doll! |
Hi Joyce! :) I'm glad to see that Georgia is settling in. I read a post recently where someone mentioned pomade? I think it's like a hair gel, but much stronger?? You might look for something like that. The idea about the barrettes sounds great! :) |

I think I have the clips that you are talking about.....When I put them in her hair...The hair stick up in the middle and then slides right out.....:( Were you talking about these? The pic is not the best...Was in a hurry to get this posted....They are about 1" inch in length....This was the smallest they had....There may have been smaller but if there were, they were sold out???? Thanks for the suggestion and encouragement.. Joyce |

I was in a car accident awhile ago and was in the hospital for a long time. Lady had to be boarded and I had a mobile vet come to the vet's office and groom her. They cut her topknot off and I was devastated, although I couldn't blame them for not wanting to fool with her topknot everyday. These clips were a lifesaver when she came home. It's awkward to grow a topknot out. No way to get around that. But with a lot of hair gel and these little clips, I survived! |

Ahhhhh...I think one of my daughters left some of those clips here when they were here.....I will go check.....I think that will work....If not, I know where to get a card of them really inexpensive like......Thank You so very much..... I know what you mean...I would have been devastated too....I know Georgia had a beautiful topknot and a full beard....I think someone got scissor happy....Her beard is really thin on one side- thick on the other....Hopefully her hair will grow back fast and healthy now that she is on a great food.... Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade It is in a bright orange can in the Black People Hair section at Walmart. I just rubbed a little bit on their bangs, combed it in place, done! |
