The ones at GoFetch look too big. I want to get a bag of at least 50-100 of them. Any other places???? |

Unstretched they are about 1/2 inch circles. |
My grocery store, cvs, walmart target all have them;) |

Are these real stretchy? I've been using the little ones a dentist uses for braces and they work really nice. The ones I've seen in Wal Mart almost look plastic and they don't stretch well. |
i use orthodontic elastic bands. They were recommended to me by a groomer. I got a bunch on Ebay for cheap. They dont pull Ginos and Bianca's hair and stay in great! |

Yes, they are really stretchy. They are also much better for the hair than the ones you buy in Walmart which tend to break the hair. I get the 1/4" which is the same size as the dental bands, I think. The larger bands don't work that well for me because you have to wrap them around too many times. The 1/4" goes around twice really well. While you're there, check out the satin chin rests. They really help with doing topknots. http://www.dog-bows.com/cgi-bin/TheF...100&category=1 |
I get mine from bargain shops here in Australia. I look for them whenever I go in and pick up a pack of about 50 for $2. I have quite the collection of them now, surely more than Suzy will ever need! But I get them in different colours, different sizes etc. |

So what is the difference between the orthodontic elastic and the latex? Are they both made of latex? Do you know what size they are that you got on e-bay? Do you know the seller? Is latex the best for the hair, causing less breakage or is there something better???? |

I believe the orthodontic bands are latex free. |

I don't think they are better for the hair, but they are good if you have a latex allergy. |
I just searched for orthodontic bands on Ebay and most of them seem to be made of latex. That's odd. I have some bow customers who have children in braces who say that the ones you get directly from the orthodontist are latex free. That makes sense because of latex allergies. I have some of the latex free ones someone sent me to use in case someone requested latex free bands on their bows, but I didn't like them as well as the ones I buy specifically for grooming. |
