Winter & dry skin So I have come to the conclusion that Koda has dry skin. We use a wood burner to help with heating since we have propane. And let me tell you, propane is expensive this year! But using the wood burner is causing dry skin for Koda I think. I am only bathing him once a week like normal, but he has been scratching a lot. No fleas or any other unwanted guests are staying w/ him. No change in diet. Feeding Innova. He gets plenty of water. It's available non-stop. Using Minksheen like normal. So dry skin is all I can think of. Any good tips for that? Sorry if this has been reviewed recently :) |
Maybe an air humidifier would help? With the heating season, Pepper scratches more often and mats more, with the same amount of bathing and conditioning... And even less playing outside than in the warm season. |
You can try a cool air humidifier to put some moisture in the air. |
We have humidifiers on each level of the house. So 3 total. My kids started getting super dry skin when we first started using the wood burner a couple of years ago. So each year we bought a new one. Now finally this year we finally have one on each level. They run all but 4 hours a day. :) |
