Is it possible to transform from cottony to silky? Is it possible to make a transformation from a cottony coat to a silky one using somesort of hair product? If so what is it? |
If its a cottony coat as an adult, it will stay a cottony coat. I believe there are products out there that can make it look nicer and a little more silkier. I like Coat Handler products and #1 all system products. |
I don't think they can change. It's either one or the other.;) |
3 Attachment(s) Cali has a cottony coat. But recently I had her groomed by a groomer who use to show yorkies and she somehow thinned her coat without making it look strange and I also have her on several supplements and her coat is much more silky looking, 100 % easier to comb, hardly mats and that was a big problem before. I washed her myself last week and she turned out great, her coat looks almost as silky as Pixie's now. The first 2 pics are after I groomed her last week and the other one you can see her old coat was cottonier and wavy and thicker. |
she looks great you and the groomer did a great job At what age can you tell if you puppy is going to be cottony? |
I believe Cali's coat would be called wooly. It's usually a cleric grey and very thick, soft but not curly. Heavy conditioners will give them weight to pull them down a bit and give shine but a soft coat will always be soft. She's really a pretty gal! |

I seriously doubt a change will happen - but I know when I use Sea Breeze Oil on Chanels cottony coat it looks so much better |
Is wooly same as cottony? I have tried so many products and this is the best she has looked coat wise. Her coat is very soft. Quote:
