NJ beaches, are any pet friendly? We are planning on going to either Wildwood or Ocean City this weekend & I was wondering if anybody knew if there are any pet friendly beaches. I was doing some research and some said that pets were welcome "Off Season" and I didn't know if this would be considered off-season. Thanks for any responses:) Desiree |
Hmmm.. I would think it is off-season because it's after Labor Day. Ocean City is a real family-oriented place so they probably wouldn't have a huge issue with your dog. Have a good trip!! |
now is off-season. we go to diamond beach. (past wildwood crest in wildwood) it is pet friendly. so is higbees beach in cape may. |
Sandy Hook, NJ- pet friendly beach I went to Sandy Hook yesterday and dogs are allowed all year except the summer season between March 15-Labor Day weekend. There were lots of dogs on the beach this weekend. They were swimming and running and having a great time. The owners were all being responsible for their pets' behavior and cleaning up after their poop. The only drawback is that there's a lot of waste that's washed on shore-- this includes plastic tampon applicators, etc -- so if your dog likes to eat things, he's gonna have a field day on this beach if you don't carefully watch him. Hope this helps, M |
