Vet recommendation in Manhattan NY Hello, I have been using the Humane Society in NYC for my puppy Teddy but when he was very ill on Thursday I had to take him to the aspca hospital. I am not very happy with the aspca. I would like to find a vet in NYC that can be reached in the evening if your pet is in the hospital or just home and you need to ask a question. I don't know how I could have gotten through my scary situation without the help of the people in the emergency forum on this site. Jack |
I know 2 great vets in queens if you are willing to travel. |
The best animal hospital in the State is the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. I would never hesitate to take my dog there for any emergency. Other than that, there are really great vets in NYC - I would ask other dog owners and get recommendations from them. Word of mouth is sometimes the best. |
Jack, How is Teddy doing? |
Great Manhattan Vet Hi Lacy's Mom: I am Maximus' mommy. He will be 1 yrs old August 2nd. I take him to Dr. Miller of Carnegie Hill Veterinary on 89th Street between 3rd and 2nd avenue. Dr. Miller is loving, professional and tolerate (I am a bit of a hypochondriac :-) He is on the pricey end for a small practice but I trust him and Max likes him, or maybe he just likes Dr. Miller's liver treats. Good Luck. |
Teddy seems to have recovered from his vomiting. Thank you for asking. Jack |
Vet Care 24 hours a Day - 365 Days year My little guy had an painful injury last Friday at 10PM. I called my vet (West Village Veterinary) and the emergency number they gave had no answer!!!! Continuously for 15 minutes!!!! So a friend told me about a place on 15th and 5th called Fifth Avenue Vet Specialists. I raced him over. They were great. My dog's knee cap had popped out while jumping and it was quickly repaired. I would definitely go again. 212-924-3311. www.fifthavevetspecialists.com Quote:
