Looking for yorkie puppy Hi I've looked high and low looking for yorkie puppy I live in Brooklyn I email these different breeder n this process is taking longer than I expect help!!! My birthday next week n I've been searching for months for a puppy n want him now what do I do where do I go for a yorkie breeder |
You may have to travel to a different state. Google search "yorkie breeder NY" and see what you come up with. I'll be traveling close to 2 hours to pick mine up next week. |
Yup, you may need to expand your search. I drove across to the other side of the state to get ZoE. Best of luck in your search :) |
I understand the "I want" and "now" part. I am a very impatient person when I start the looking for love, BUT it would be in your best interest to remain patient and buy your breeder first and be patient if it takes a while for the perfect pup to arrive. Going to dog shows and chatting with exhibitors is a good way to get leads on quality pups. You can also check with the akc.org on line and with the YTCA for breeder names. Whatever you do, remember pet shop pups are almost always from puppy mills and more often than not come with health problems. |
I have no knowledge of any of these breeders myself, but according to the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, this is who they recommend in the New York area: Madelyn Conley from Cornwall-on-Hudson NY (845) 534-9586 Wendy Garcia from Yorktown Heights NY (914) 248-8283 Sharon Haber from Levittown NY (516) 796-5671 Mary Jane Held from West Seneca NY (716) 675-4497 Karen Lee Hudson from Hagaman NY (518) 842-3585 Pamela Langstein from Woodmere NY (516) 476-2720 Donna Lauricella from Bohemia NY (631) 563-1229 Dr. Nicholas J. Valenti from Selden NY (631) 696-7440 Donna F. Wood from Queensbury NY (518) 792-2290 I hope that helps and good luck with your search. Dana :) |
Thanks a lot for the help I'll try searching out of NY I emailed some breeders from ytca im my area no answer yet! I'm sorry if i seem a little impatient but been on this search for almost two years. Lol when I started this search about two years ago I ended up with my beautiful cat Hunter (me being impatient) but always had a love for yorkies so try i'll searching further |
Also will try some of those numbers |
It takes a little bit sometimes for people to get back to you. . . Why is it taking 2 years? |
Let us know how it pans out and again good luck with your search for a new fur baby Dana : ) |
I found my breeder on Craig's list...took me three wks and I only drove 30mins to get her...email everybody in your area till someone responds. That's what I did and it paid off |
Wow, you're lucky :) Good for you, but I would be scared to even by a table off Craig's list, let alone a puppy-LOL!! But I admit to being a bit conservative and old fashioned :) |
