Low Cost Dental? Hi, So I adopted my Yorkie, last year. He was pretty neglected, and I've been working really hard to reverse whats happened to him, and now he's doing pretty well. He's happy and healthy, save for his teeth. I just came back from my Vet and she said his teeth are pretty bad still and he's going to need extensive dental work. She gave me an estimate of $1200-$1750. I almost had a heart attack, as much as I want BamBam to be well, I just cannot afford that right now. It breaks my heart.:( I've done some research and it seems that the Human Society does have a dental clinic. Does anyone have experience with them? Can anyone make any other suggestions about where I can go? I'm at a loss. Thank you. |
Sorry I can't help you, we just got done paying almost $3000 for our 2 little senior yorkies dentals, IV's , meds, and found out that they both have kidney disease, younger one more advanced than the older sister. Now they are on special mail order diet for kidney health. Always keep an emergency fund when you have pets, you never know when you will need the money for their special care. Call the Humane Society and they might direct you to a clinic in your area. Good luck. |
