Looking for a PRIVATE Yorkie Breeder Hi I live in Brooklyn NY and would like to know how to find a Yorkie breeder. I dont want a pet shop or Puppymill. I would like to see parent of the pups. Any help would be so appreciated. I am open to Tri-State area. thanks again Nailtek |
This site is a good one to find a reputable Yorkie breeder. American Kennel Club - Yorkshire Terrier Club of Greater New York - NEW YORK CITY - NY - 1147 |
You can also try the breeder contact on the Yorkshire terrier club site at Yorkshire Terrier Club of America |
Why not try a rescue in you're area, we have so many dogs that need help. Good luck and hope you find what you are looking for. |
Rose Jenks with Foxfire Yorkies is in CT. She has beautiful dogs...not sure if she has any puppies... |
AKC Yorkie breeder NY | Yorkshire Terrier breeder | Yorkie puppies for sale NY is where i got my last puppy. her pics are still on the website. she is the daughter of Chelsea & Harley and she is beautiful! Susan is an excellent breeder and her dogs show it. |
Yorkie Breeders Be VERY CAREFUL, my beautiful yorkie purchased from a breeder (I won't say the name) has health issues that just get worse! She is 6yo and I will be reaching out for help on her trachea distress, which is the latest problem. |

And that breeder should be working with you perhaps looking to refund purchase price, work with her/his Vet. This is why I do not like to sell far from home. If any of my puppies do come up with an issue even as an adult, I want to take it to my Vet whom I totally trust. Sometimes it is poor quality knowledge in a Vet especially ones not familiar with Yorkies that can be the problem, not the dog. |

WOW, you sound very nice! As I purchased STAR, 6 years ago, Yorktown Heights, NY, I tried NUMEROUS times to contact the "breeder" to NO avail. The "breeder" never would respond to my phone/emails! So now many years later, I have a pit in my stomoach with the thought of reaching out! She is well known, a neighbor has recently purchased from this "breeder". I know financial times are different, but I was charged $1,000 more for Star. I feel even then I was taken advantage of, since it had been only two weeks after I lost my LOVE, APRIL at 13yo (from a different person) and I would have given my life savings for the pup! Now I am unemployed for four years and $$$ is tight. Also, the breeder was/is part of the YT Club. Meanwhile, when I realized the neighbor purchased from the same, the neighbor has not called me, as I suggested that I could discuss the medical issue that I have had from the start. Putting that behind us (though the new adoptee resurfaced these problems) I am so upset regarding the collasped trachea! Star is supposed to have dental tomorrow, but my cousin who breeds Kerry Blue Terriers, suggests that I do not go ahead with dental at this time, while I'm working out the CT situation. Also, the charge is between $500 to $600! |
Also, the vet has X-rayed STAR and it shows how the windpipe at throat is open, narrows, then narrows again at the lungs. The good news was that the lungs & heart looked good! |

Infected tartared teeth can also cause kidney, liver, heart issues over time and cause an early demise. IT is not something you can ignore. Yup unfortunately that's what dentals can run in price depending on where you are even more. But that is part of the care required for any toy dog and I do warn any prospective purchasers. |

What she says here is all very true....check to see if a vet tech does the cleaning/intubating....not concerned about it being a vet tech, as they have the training and skills to do this....just want to be sure they get the right size ET tube, which comes with EXPERIENCE!!........I am sure with your vet being acutely aware of the situation with your pups trachea, he will be very careful about the size and who does the intubating for the surgery! |
