Groomer in Brooklyn Heights/downtown Manhattan Can anyone recommend a good, not-too-expensive groomer in the Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill/DUMBO sections of Brooklyn, or anywhere in lower Manhattan? I'm not particularly unhappy with my dog's current groomer, but I am not thrilled with paying more for her haircut than I do for mine! ;-) |
I am in the Lower Manhattan area and the only really good groomer is at The Salty Paw on Peck Slip. The cost is 80.00 which is the going rate in the areas of Lower Manhattan. |
I'm still looking.... |

I am new to the Yorkie Board. We have a puppy mill rescue Yorkie who is 7 years old. We have had her for 6 months. Prior to that she lived her life in a puppy mill as a breeder. We live in Downtown Brooklyn and Rocco and Jezebel were her first groomers for us. They are located on Pineapple Walk in the Heights and they also board dogs. They did a fine job with our little Yorkie and I recommend them. Their current price is $65.00 |
1 Attachment(s) I am also looking for a less expensive groomer. I took Joey to The Salty Paw (I live right down the street) and they did a wonderful job, but it was $100 with tax and tip. That's more than I pay for myself!! Here's the before & after though.... |
Omgoodness!!!!! I hope my groomer (which we love) doesn't see this post. We pay $35 + tip Ok so I know Arizona is a bit too far to travel every 4-6 weeks but I would have to groom him myself for the fees you all pay. Is everything else that much more in your areas? P.S. : in the critter clippers they have a list for why puppies grooming cost more than my hair cut. Among them is people don't bite their stylist, nor pee or poop at their station, nor do about six or more other things listed. It is waaaay cute. |
