I can't post pictures
 
I can't post pictures on this site anymore ,Everytime I try it says they exceed the size so when I edit them it still doesn't work so can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong

Thanks susan lynn, these types of questions are easier for me than housebreaking questions!

Are you trying to post pictures on a thread or in your album? There is a size limit for pictures and 8x10 is about as big as you can make it, in fact, 9 inches on the longest size is probably better. The trouble is, so many camera now are taking huge pictures that you can display on a wide screen tv, some even bigger than 48 inches. That's way too big for yorkietalk and even if you cut it by 50% it's still too big at 24 inches. Do you have an editing program that allows you to make pictures a different size? Just a reminder, the albums only hold so many pictures, and when you reach your limit in pictures and bandwidth, it will refuse any new pictures. A bonus for being a donating member is twice the album size!

I saw your albums, and my guess, is you are at your limit. You could try taking some pictures out.

uh No the album is the 1where he has a the pink shirt it says I have space for 56 more pix

I think you may be reading it wrong, it doesn't give you a limit on the number of pictures it gives you a limit on overall space. I believe what it's saying it you have 56 kb (kilobyte) left. A non-donating member has a total of 1 MG (Megabytes), and you only have 56 kb left, so a new picture would have to be under 56 kb in order to upload it, that's a very small picture. Your only options are to take out some of you pictures, reduce the size of the pictures in the albums or become a donating member and this allows you 10 MG in overall album space. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sit...ml#post2436580

Pictures will be automatically resized to fit within these constraints if possible. However, you may receive better results by doing it

That's really helpful, so you do have more space for three more pictures that are around 195 kb, or more pictures if they are very small. A 600 by 600 pixel picture is about 8 inches by 8 inches. The only other thing that could be a problem is the type of file you are trying to upload. Pictures should be have the file extentions of either gif, jpeg, jpg, or png. Some file types will not upload.

Maybe that's the problem? I know some people do it with their phones, but it may be the way their default settings on their phones are set.
