Concerns about flying with yorkie Hello all! I'm taking my small yorkie on a plane ride this weekend. We've flown together once before and she's not a happy camper staying inside the bag at my feet. In general, she doesn't love being in the bag. She doesn't mind having me carry her in the bag when she's tired and we're walking around. But as soon as I stop somewhere (like a restaurant) and put the bag down on the ground, she starts moving around inside the bag, trying to tip it or get out, and sometimes barking. How do we make it through our upcoming flight (which is about 2.5 hours long) with her staying inside the bag? Any suggestions are appreciated! |
My Teddi doesn't like to be in a bag but in the plane it is kind of loud and it moves so your pup should be fine in the bag under your seat because they can't really hear what is going on because of the plane noise and even if she makes some noise it probably won't be any big deal because she is under a seat muffled so no one will hear it either. I think we worry more than necessary. :D |
Don't forget to bring Teddi a blanket. On my flight today my feet were freezing! This doesn't always happen when I fly but it does occur often. I'm traveling for work so I can't speak to having Bella with me....yet! |
I keep a baby blanket at the bottom of my travel bag so she'll be comfortable and warm! Any suggestions in general about how to keep your dog calm when inside a bag? |
