Any recommendations for a good groomer in Rockland County?
 
I have a malte-poo and I am expecting a Yorkie boy on Friday, he is currently 8 months and I want him to get accustomed to being groomed. I recently moved to the area and left a wonderful groomer in McMichael PA and I am looking for the same quality. She does not crate the dogs, and she does not schedule dogs to be there at the same time, so whenever you went, a doggie was leaving and you had your own personal time w/ her. Also, she was very into natural products and was extremely knowlegable and she loved animals.:)

Welcome to YT.
I am also from Rockland Cty and your past groomer sounds like a dream.
I'm not so sure you'll find that in this area. I looked myself in the past
and found not one. I had a great groomer but she does crate, does
not use your products and has dogs coming and going at the same time.
I now groom myself.

I do not live in the area but wanted to make a suggestion. I have Milo groomed where he goes to doggy daycare, this way he plays all day and then when he is nice and tired they groom him and he is not crated. Doggy daycare was the smartest thing I did with him, when I go away I have no worries because I know he is with people who love him and he is comfortable he is never crated, and they groom there so it is a win win situation.

where do you take him?

vet and groomer in Rockland
 
I have used Valley Cottage Animal Hospital on Rte 303 for 15 years now. Service is 7 days a week, 24 hours..clean, modern facility and really knowledgeable staff,

I have a groomer, Jodi in New City. She works in her house and has a room just for them..:, does one baby at a time, really great..no big driers and they smell fantastic forever and she really cares. I'm going Friday and will ask if she's taking more clients

I live in Rockland County and I HIGHLY recommend the Valley Cottage Animal Hospital. It is a 24/7 emergency care facility, immaculate and the staff is amazing.
